ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT
Introduction:
The following environmental policy has been developed to support the organisation’s commitment to the principles of environmental management through the implementation of sustainable business practices system designed to address the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations.
The environmental management policy (and commitment) identifies a systems-based approach for the development and implementation of procedures and processes to meet both our company and our client’s environmental expectations.
This approach is fundamental to the organisations continued success and growth. The organisation is committed to pursuing industry specific best practice in environmental performance and acknowledges that our employees and the community at large expect responsible environmental practices to be applied in all situations.
Purpose and aim:
Our aim is to educate, train and motivate employees to carry out tasks in an environmentally responsible manner, supported by procedural awareness and training. This is done using a continuous professional development strategy to achieve our business goals.
The company is committed to continual improvement of environmental performance. This policy will be communicated to all staff, contractors and suppliers, and be available to the public through social media.
Scope
The Environmental requirements of the Padman Group are detailed in the organisations quality and procedure manual and applies to all staff and forms an integral part of our commitment to Quality ISO 9001: 2015, OH & S – ISO45001: 2018 and Environmental – ISO14001: 2015 standards.
The Padman group have committed to conducting environmental measuring and inspection on site using an internal audit process outlined in the Quality and Procedure manuals to ensure environmental compliance is managed and maintained.
This includes the prevention of pollution, the reduction of waste and minimising the consumption of resources. The organisation also considers the wider global impact of all our activities including those of our supplier’s customers and other stakeholders.
Management Responsibility:
The Executive Management team are committed to ensuring the protection of the environment is firmly embedded in both the company’s and all employees’ culture and will endeavour to influence its suppliers and customers in a similar strategic environmental manner.
